Retold: From whoever was standing there.

No feed decides what you see. You pick a place on the map and watch what the people who were there recorded: transcribed into your language, with the time, the place and whatever corroborates it.

Citizen reporting, by place · In development

What it does

Stand there. Record. Publish.

  1. Record where it happened — A short video from the place itself. You set how precisely the location is published.
  2. It is transcribed and translated — Captions and translations are generated on upload, so a report travels past the language it was filed in.
  3. Context is gathered, not verdicts — Time, place, metadata and independent corroboration are shown alongside it. The reader draws the conclusion.

Questions

Does publishing expose where I live?

You set location precision on every report. A city-level pin is a valid report; a street-level one is your choice, not a requirement.

Is this a fact-checking service?

No. It surfaces corroboration, timing and provenance, and leaves the judgement with the reader. A truth stamp would be a lie about what software can do.

What if my connection is throttled or filtered?

Uploads compress hard, take alternate paths and can sync later. Working on a bad network is a design constraint, not an afterthought.

Who owns the footage?

You do. Reports stay attached to the place they document and to the account that filed them.
